The Maternity service is delivered across 2 Hospital sites and community and provides care for approximately 8500 births per year. Women have the option to birth at home or within the Labour Suite or the Midwife Led unit on either of the 2 sites. The Maternity service is driven by strong strategic objectives to deliver safe effective high quality care and is aligned with local and national drivers. This is also underpinned by strong Organisational values and behaviours. These attributes are key qualities that we look for in professionals to join our team. * Daily coordinating of the Labour Suite.
* Competent and confident in IV cannulation and suturing.
* Completion of acuity & safe staffing data.
* Ensure timely delivery of elective and emergency care.
* Identifying risks/red flags that may impact on safety quality and women’s experience.
* Utilising escalation processes to maintain safety and quality.
* Professional responsibility and accountability of the checking of all essential and emergency equipment.
* IPC responsibility.
* Participate in local and national audit.
* Clinical Risk & Governance processes.
* Participation in the non-clinical manager of the day (MOD) Rota ensuring overarching responsibility of the safety of the Unit working alongside the MDT.
* Manage Flow in all areas.
* Participate in MOD rota.
* Ability to work all shifts
