We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our Quality Team.
The role is working Monday to Friday 08.30 – 17.00.
An overview of the role responsibilities:
1. Business protection via effective management of the site
2. Review and maintenance of the Quality Management System
3. Ensure the continuous running and development of the site QA team is carried out by the Senior QA
4. Ensuring all food safety, quality and legality aspects of production and the products produced are adhered to by various auditing, checking and monitoring procedures/techniques undertaken by the department
5. Senior member and coordinator of the HACCP systems for the site
6. Lead site quality audits and visits
7. Drive a quality culture through the site
8. Work closely with the Site Factory Manager to ensure decisions / actions are taken to maintain product quality and food safety integrity
9. Conduct strategic planning to ensure the site continues to move forward at all times
10. Build and maintain customer relations with retailer counterparts
11. Maintain BRC standards and customer policy requirements
12. Implement improvement plans through assessment of data / trends. Reporting of data/trends to other departments/Senior Managers
13. Ensuring hygiene standards with the production areas are maintained
14. Artwork approval
15. Support the Senior QA in the day-to-day management of the QA team
16. Work closely with the other Quality Manager/Senior Quality Manager to keep them up to date with site issues
17. Provide support to the rest of the department when required
18. Project work as and when required
Ideally candidates will have experience within a food quality/technical role with excellent organisational skills.
The successful candidate will hold a degree within a food related discipline or equivalent with HACCP Level 3 and Food Hygiene to an advanced level.
