Responsibilities
* Responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel
* Perform daily maintenance checks around the hotel
* Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required
* Diagnose, maintain and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel
* Build good relationships with internal and external customers
* Maintain all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure safety and take action when unsafe situations arise
* Develop, implement and direct all emergency programs
* Develop and manage energy conservation programs to minimize expenses
* Coordinate renovation bidding, define cost and scope, and oversee contractors to ensure quality work
* Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
* Ensure health and safety of the hotel
* Ensure monthly safety inspections and employee training
Qualifications
* Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering
* Commitment to delivering high level of customer service
* Flexibility to respond to a range of work situations
* Ability to work under pressure
* Ability to work independently
* Previous experience in a management role
* First Aid certification (advantage)
* Vocational training in engineering or similar field (advantage)
