NHS GRAMPIAN

COOK

DR GRAYS HOSPITAL, Elgin

We have an opportunity for a chef to join the catering team within the main production kitchen at Dr Grays Hospital, providing quality and nutritious meals for patients, staff and visitors.

This role involves general food preparation and large volumes of cooking, while following strict processes and hygiene regulations.

Previous experience of working within a busy catering environment and knowledge of HACCP procedures essentials.

It is important that the successful applicant can handle large volume production, done to exact specification and following exact procedures.

Band 2

Hours: 36 hours per week on a 5 week rotation

Enhanced rates Saturday, Sunday and Public holiday

Applicants must be friendly, flexible, reliable, enthusiastic and have the ability to work well within a large team.

Rota - 5 week rotation as below:

Week 1

Monday – 0600 – 1340

Tuesday – 0600 – 1340

Wednesday – 0600 - 1340

Thursday – 0600 – 1340

Friday – 1000 – 1750

Saturday & Sunday – Day Off

Week 2

Monday – 0600 – 1340

Tuesday – Day Off

Wednesday – 0600 – 1340

Thursday – Day Off

Friday – 1000 – 1750

Saturday – 0600-1340

Sunday – 1000 – 1750

Week 3

Monday – 0600 – 1340

Tuesday – 0600 – 1340

Wednesday – 0600 - 1340

Thursday – 0600 – 1340

Friday – 1000 – 1750

Saturday & Sunday – Day Off

Week 4

Monday – 0600 – 1340

Tuesday – Day Off

Wednesday – 0600 – 1340

Thursday – Day Off

Friday – 0600 - 1340

Saturday – 0600-1340

Sunday – 1000 – 1750
