Are you a skilled HGV2 driver with a hands-on approach and a knack for maintenance? We’re looking for a reliable and proactive HGV2 Driver & Handyman/Stores Operative to join our team, supporting vital depot operations for the local authority.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive gritters and other local authority vehicles between depots
2. Carry out general maintenance and handyman duties around the depot
3. Manage stores inventory and ensure stock levels are accurate
4. Order and collect vehicle parts and supplies as required
5. Assist with depot organisation and upkeep
Requirements:
6. A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
7. Previous experience in a driving or stores/maintenance role preferred
8. Good organisational and record-keeping skills
9. A positive, flexible attitude and ability to work independently
10. Basic maintenance or handyman skills
