Job Overview
We are looking to recruit a Site Manager to lead our team in a fast‑paced 24/7 operation. The role involves picking orders for our shops at a distribution centre that combines ambient, chilled and frozen warehouses located in Daventry, Northamptonshire. You will play a vital part in our supply chain process, overseeing the efficient receipt, storage and delivery of goods to our shops, ready for customers, while managing people, processes and systems to achieve all set targets.
Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods.
* Understand the Company’s policies, values and vision, and how the warehouse contributes to these.
* Ensure stock control systems are up‑to‑date.
* Recruit, train and monitor staff performance and progress.
* Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork to meet or exceed productivity targets.
* Maintain Health & Safety standards and secure the work environment.
* Oversee planned maintenance of machinery and equipment.
* Manage 24/7 multi‑shift teams.
* Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
* Control all warehouse costs and keep them at a minimum level.
* Maintain the highest hygiene standards.
* Manage absence and personnel matters.
* Participate in facilities management.
Qualifications
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, a strong all‑round communicator.
* Strong planning and organisational abilities.
* Assertive, able to see plans through and overcome obstacles.
* Proven people‑management skills, capable of leading and developing an effective team.
* Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities.
Pay, Working Hours & Benefits
