About the Role
We are seeking a standalone Human Resources Manager to take full ownership of HR across two UK entities (approx. 40 employees).
This is a highly hands‑on role where you will be responsible for delivering all HR activities locally. As the sole HR professional on site, you will manage both the day‑to‑day operations and provide practical support to managers and employees.
This role requires someone who is comfortable in both being fully involved in execution and being a member of local leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, contracts, employee queries)
* Run payroll processes in collaboration with Finance and external providers
* Act as the main HR contact for all employee and manager queries
* Provide hands‑on guidance to managers on employee relations and HR matters
* Handle employee relations issues end‑to‑end
* Ensure compliance with employment law, company policies, and reporting requirements
* Maintain HR systems, data accuracy, and documentation
* Deliver performance management processes locally
* Oversee benefits administration, including pensions
* Manage recruitment activities, including agencies and candidate sourcing
* Track and report on HR metrics and data
* Support labour relations and employee engagement activities
* Act as the local HR representative for audits, hearings, and investigations
* Work with corporate HR on global initiatives, ensuring local execution
* Support health & safety activities where required
What We’re Looking For
* Degree in HR, Business, or related field
* 5+ years of HR generalist experience, ideally in a multinational environment
* Experience in a standalone or highly autonomous HR role
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law (NI/Ireland exposure a plus)
* Comfortable managing both administrative and operational HR tasks
* Confident handling employee relations and supporting managers independently
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver without support
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Visio a plus)
