The role
Salary: £30,000 - 40,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a practical builder with a bias toward action. We are open to junior or mid-level candidates who enjoy figuring things out and making ideas real. Experience building websites, web applications, or digital tools. Strong foundations in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Exposure to modern frontend frameworks. Comfort working with APIs and integrations. Interest in backend and full-stack development. Curiosity around AI tools and automation platforms. Strong problem-solving mindset. Attention to detail and an ownership mentality. Desire to learn how real-world business systems are designed and built. Experience with tools such as Zapier, Make, Retool, or low-code/no-code platforms is useful but not essential. Experience or exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as React or equivalent. Experience or exposure to modern backend ecosystems such as .NET, Node.js, Python, or similar. Awareness or experience with cloud-hosted applications, deployment workflows, hosting, environment management, and monitoring concepts. Responsibilities: Rapidly prototype, build, and iterate on digital tools and workflows. Build configurator and customer experience tools. Build sales and quoting workflows. Build internal dashboards and admin systems. Build operational tooling and process automation. Improve customer and internal workflows. Help take ideas from concept to working tools in days rather than months. Support the development of connected systems across the business. Work on integrations with Shopify, HubSpot, Xero, payment systems, booking systems, suppliers, and operational partners. Work with APIs, webhooks, structured data, workflow automation tools, and connected cloud services. Reduce manual work and create smoother business operations. Use modern AI tools to accelerate delivery and problem-solving. Apply AI-assisted coding, prompt-driven workflows, and agent-style tooling where useful. Contribute to product configuration, quoting, sales enquiry workflows, internal tooling, and future fulfilment and manufacturing workflows. Work closely with the Engineering Lead and the wider business to turn ideas into working systems. This is a hands-on role focused on building tools, automation, and AI-assisted workflows that support our customer experience, sales systems, internal operations, and future fulfilment and manufacturing processes.
