What you'll be doing...
As a Sales Executive - Hospitality, you will support the Sales Manager - Hospitality in growing revenue and securing new business for all major events at Scottish Gas Murrayfield. You will play a crucial role in handling client inquiries, preparing proposals, maintaining strong relationships with clients and agents, and assisting in the seamless planning of events. This role requires a dynamic and proactive individual with a passion for sales and hospitality.
Proactively sell hospitality packages for all events at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, including rugby matches and concerts.
Support the Sales Manager in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Handle inbound sales enquiries and convert them into confirmed bookings.
Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities through targeted outreach and networking.
Maintain a strong understanding of all hospitality offerings and tailor solutions to client needs.
Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Provide excellent account management, ensuring smooth communication and coordination from initial enquiry to event execution.
Assist with hosting prospective clients and delivering venue tours to showcase hospitality offerings.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and bookings using the CRM system.
Support the Sales Manager in the preparation of sales reports and market analysis.
Research, identify, and establish new business sales contacts, developing long-term relationships and exploring promotional opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Assist in the development and execution of marketing initiatives to promote hospitality sales.
Work collaboratively with internal departments, including operations and marketing, to ensure seamless event delivery.
Represent The Murrayfield Experience at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to generate new business leads.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to help refine sales strategies.
Develop a strong understanding of competitor packages and pricing structures and contribute to the development of competitive sales proposals.
Support the development of existing hospitality products and the development of new and innovatiove new products.
Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue generation, new enquiries, lead generation, conversion rates, and upselling opportunities.
What can you bring?
Essential :
Proven experience in a sales, ideally within hospitality, events, or a similar customer-facing industry.
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with both individual and corporate clients, ensuring repeat business and high customer satisfaction.
Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present to clients, negotiate contracts, and close sales.
A results-oriented individual with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive sales opportunities.
Understanding of the hospitality and events industry, with the ability to identify trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Competency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and sales reporting tools.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events and hospitality activities.
Desirable
Prior experience in the events or sports industry.
Knowledge of the Scottish corporate and events market.
Proven ability to research, identify, and convert new sales opportunities into long-term clients.
Ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative hospitality packages to attract a diverse range of clients.
