Quality Manager
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE) + benefits (TBC)
Reports to: Managing Director
The Opportunity
A growing electronics manufacturing business is looking for a Quality Manager to take ownership of quality standards across the site and help shape “right first time” performance as the business scales. This is a hands-on, influential role with visibility across production, engineering, supply chain and customers — ideal for someone who enjoys improving how things run, not just maintaining a QMS.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead and continuously improve the ISO9001 Quality Management System, keep the business audit-ready, and drive real improvement through structured root cause and CAPA. You’ll work closely with production and engineering to embed quality into build and test processes, strengthen documentation and traceability, and ensure a consistent workmanship culture in an IPC environment. You’ll also oversee day-to-day H&S compliance with a COSHH focus.
What we’re looking for
*
Proven Quality leadership in a technical manufacturing environment (electronics / electro-mechanical / precision manufacturing).
*
Strong working knowledge of ISO9001 and audit management.
*
Practical experience driving RCA/CAPA and measurable improvements in scrap, rework and customer issues.
*
Confident engaging customers and suppliers and influencing shop-floor standards.
*
COSHH knowledge and the ability to maintain safe, compliant working practices.
*
Lean / Six Sigma exposure is beneficial but not essential.
Why it’s a great role
You’ll have the mandate to improve processes, raise standards, and make a visible impact on quality performance and customer satisfaction. It’s a role with genuine scope to influence the business and grow with it
