Our client, a freight forwarding and logistics provider, is looking to hire a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to join their team in Tilbury, Essex.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify opportunities to generate new business through networking, referrals, and collaboration with the sales and operations teams
* Sell import and export freight services for all modes of transportation including ocean, air, and road
* Create customised pricing proposals and service packages, clearly outlining logistics solutions to meet specific client needs
* Build rapport and foster long‑term relationships with clients, positioning yourself as a trusted logistics advisor
* Meet with clients face to face
* Keep an eye on market dynamics, competitor strategies, and shifting customer demands to stay ahead of the curve
Key Requirements
* At least 2 years of sales experience within the freight forwarding industry (air, ocean, and road transport)
* Proven ability to win new accounts and grow existing ones through strategic sales efforts
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate confidently and communicate clearly
* Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and managing time effectively
* Skilled in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
