<div><p>Our award winning school meals in Solihull have never tasted better and we are proud to offer pupils across the borough a great range of delicious, healthy meals, using locally sourced, high quality ingredients.</p><p>Deputy Unit Catering Manager required working 22.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only at Dickens Heath Community Primary School, Three Acres Ln, Dickens Heath, Shirley, Solihull B90 1NA.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Be an enthusiastic, self‑motivated person able to undertake general kitchen duties.</li><li>Be approachable and understand the diverse needs of customers; be flexible, adaptable and open to change; respond to meet customers’ individual needs using appropriate methods to communicate.</li><li>Set and maintain a high standard of quality food presentation and service; ensure all food served at the right temperature, garnished and in an appropriate manner.</li><li>Serve meals and assist customers in choice of dishes.</li><li>Order, prepare and cook food following the Centralised menu plan for breakfasts, lunches, buffets and promotions; ensure the Governments Nutritional / Food based Standards are met.</li><li>Compile and submit all statistical documentation required by the central administration office: trading sheets, payroll adjustment sheets, periodic stock control sheets.</li><li>Prepare or delegate preparation of dining area for all types of catering requirements, including function catering.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Hold an NVQ Level 2 Award in Hospitality and Catering Principles along with Level 2 Food Safety.</li></ul></div>
