We’re partnering with a well-established organisation to support the growth of their People Services function. They’re seeking an experienced Reward Team Leader to join on a maternity cover contract, taking the lead of a small team of advisors and overseeing the accurate, efficient delivery of both reward and payroll operations. The Role As Reward Team Leader, you’ll oversee the day-to-day performance of a small, capable team, ensuring excellent service delivery and compliance across payroll, benefits administration, and reward processes. You’ll be responsible for coaching and guiding the team, acting as a key point of contact for escalations and stakeholder engagement. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, leading by example, and building a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll have exposure to a wide range of stakeholders across the business and play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and compliant reward function. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a small team of advisors within reward/payroll delivery Oversee monthly payroll data and benefits processing Monitor KPIs and service standards, ensuring timely and accurate delivery Work closely with internal stakeholders across HR, Finance, and shared services Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and system automation Support compliance, audit and reporting activities Coach and support team members, managing performance and development About You Proven experience in a payroll, reward, or shared services environment, with line management responsibility Strong understanding of payroll processing, reward operations, and compliance Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage high volumes and tight deadlines Confident communicator with experience handling escalations and stakeholder relationships Resilient and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset Experience using systems such as Oracle or a similar HRIS is advantageous Why Apply?
