Overview
Location: Barnet, Hertfordshire
Hours: 21 hours per week across 7 days (including weekends) – 7:00am start
Salary: £12.82 per hour
Responsibilities
* Preparing and serving balanced, home-cooked meals with variety and choice.
* Maintaining consistently high standards in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Managing stock, food orders, and expenditure within budget.
* Supervising the Kitchen Assistant and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Engaging with residents to review satisfaction and gather feedback on meals.
* Ensuring compliance with CareTech policies, food safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in catering or a similar role (desirable but not essential – full training provided).
* Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail and minimal supervision.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and care.
* A respectful and caring attitude towards residents.
