Ossett Academy is seeking to appoint an Inclusion Learning Mentor. If you are passionate and committed to supporting some of our most hard-to-reach pupils to achieve and remain in the mainstream academy, we would love to hear what you can bring to the role.
The successful candidate must demonstrate resilience and the ability to manage challenging pupil behaviours. It is essential to have some experience working with children and young people, and to communicate effectively with colleagues and pupils alike.
Ideally, the candidate will have a good understanding of behaviour management and procedures, be familiar with safeguarding processes, and understand their importance in a diverse school environment.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8.15 am to 3.15 pm, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break each day.
If you have the passion and drive to contribute to our Inclusion team, we would love to hear from you.
Ossett Academy is an Ofsted ‘good’ rated secondary academy with excellent facilities. We also have a standalone Accord Sixth Form building on-site.
We aim to create an environment where pupils enjoy learning and are given opportunities to excel both academically and through a wide range of extracurricular activities. Our success is built on traditional values within a warm, friendly environment.
Prospective applicants are welcome to visit the school before applying. We have developed extensive employee benefits, and further information can be found on our website regarding our ‘People Pledge’ and Employee Benefit package.
Interviews are likely to be held during the week commencing 30 June.
