Ping Insure is growing and we’re looking for an experienced Back End Developer to help build, own, and scale our in-house insurance technology platform.
This is a high-impact role working on real insurance products (GAP, Breakdown, Caravan, Cycle and more), supporting multiple brands, insurers, MGAs, and distribution channels.

The Role
You’ll play a key role in designing and developing secure, scalable back-end services that power our quoting, pricing, policy administration, and reporting platforms.
Working closely with Product, Compliance, Operations, and Front-End teams, you’ll help ensure our systems meet FCA regulatory standards, insurer reporting requirements, and commercial objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Building and maintaining back-end services and APIs for insurance products
* Designing data models for policies, premiums, commissions, IPT, claims, and bordereaux
* Integrating with insurers, MGAs, aggregators, payment providers, and third-party services
* Supporting high-volume quote-to-bind and policy lifecycle journeys
* Ensuring platforms are secure, auditable, and compliant (FCA, ICOBS, PROD, Consumer Duty, GDPR)
* Improving performance, scalability, and reliability across the platform
What We’re Looking For
* Strong back-end development experience (Node.js / TypeScript, .NET, Java, or Python)
* Proven experience building RESTful APIs and data-driven systems
* Solid understanding of relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL)
* Experience working in insurance, MGA, broker, or regulated financial services
* Understanding of insurance policy lifecycles and reporting is a strong advantage
* Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Nice to Have
* Experience with insurance admin or policy management systems
* Bordereaux, claims, or financial reporting experience
* Multi-brand or multi-entity platform exposure
* Experience rebuilding or migrating legacy insurance platforms

Roles pays Between £45,000 - £65,000 pending on experience and location
