* Bespoke software support
* Allowing the product to be built from a bin of predetermined parts to specific dimensions. It then calculates cost etc based upon the bill of material created.
* Main functions of this IT support in layman’s terms – support development and roll out of new applications, develop business specific applications independently or working alongside partner software vendors
* How much of the role is programming - 25% would be programming
* Developing - 25% would be developing
* Hardware support – 5% hardware support
* Software support – 15% Software support – Sage Products Mainly
* Email support – 5% email support
* Website support – 0% we have an in-house web developer who is responsible for all web site. However, a good knowledge of how this work is achieved would be beneficial. Thinking about linking together in house systems with web sites for basic e commerce in the future.
* What languages or technologies do they need to know – Java Script, SQL, HTML, XML
* What would be a nice to have – Graduate education, followed by several years industry exposure, somebody who has had exposure to man management and holding colleagues/suppliers to project deadlines.
* What are the essential things this person needs - This is a crucial role within the business as we grow and develop our processes and systems. We want somebody who is able to contribute and lead where necessary as we build the business infrastructure up to meet the growing demands. A commercially aware individual who understands the benefit of automated systems and how to build robust platforms based upon existing disjointed systems.
