HR Administrator
Uttoxeter – Onsite
£29,250 + Excellent Package + Progression
Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm (with a 4:00pm finish on Friday)
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised HR Administrator to join a busy and supportive HR team based in Uttoxeter. This is a pivotal role within the department, providing essential administrative support and helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of HR operations.
You’ll act as the first point of contact for HR queries across the business, gaining exposure to a wide range of HR activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their HR career within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive HR administrative support
* Maintain accurate HR records (electronic and paper-based) in line with GDPR
* Produce weekly absence reports and manage absence tracking processes
* Coordinate return-to-work meetings and support attendance procedures
* Organise meetings, manage diaries, and take minutes
* Process starters, leavers, and contractual changes, ensuring systems are updated
* Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers
* Support managers by tracking and following up on HR-related actions
* Manage employment references and HR-related purchase orders
* Coordinate Occupational Health appointments where required
* Maintain HR communication boards and internal systems
* Support processes such as long service awards and retirement arrangements
About You
Essential:
* Previous experience in a busy administrative role, with some HR exposure
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Confident communication and interpersonal skills
* Professional and discreet, with the ability to handle confidential information
* Comfortable working with data, reports, and HR systems
* Proactive, with the confidence to follow up and challenge where needed
Desirable:
* Previous HR administration or training administration experience
* Experience using SAP
