Your new role
In this newly created HR Manager job, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the HR function, ensuring the delivery of a professional, proactive, and efficient service. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, andpliance. Duties include but not limited to:
1. Manage and/or advise onplex employee relations case management including dispute resolutions, investigations, grievances, capability, disciplinaries, redundancies, attendance and TUPE transfers
2. Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment
3. Manage occupational health referrals and reviews and return-to-work meetings
4. Manage the HR Administrator, providing advice and direction where needed on work priorities
5. Handle HR matters for inspections andpliance
6. Oversee the recruitment and selection of staff including the onboarding and off-boarding process
7. Manage the performance review programme for employees
8. Regularly coach, mentor, and support colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs
9. Ensure employee training requirements are well managed and monitored
10. Manage the training and development plans and ensure they are of a high standard.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this job, you will require:
11. CIPD qualification or working towards (or equivalent experience)
12. Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills
13. Prior experience in a generalist management or HR management role, with considerable autonomy
14. Working knowledge of employment regulations
15. Understanding of data protection, the Equality Act and health and safety
16. Excellent understanding of HR practices
17. A confident leader with experience of leading a team
18. The ability to develop strong working relationships and drive collaboration
19. The ability to accept and provide feedback, be challenged on your advice and work well under pressure
20. The ability to think innovatively and rationally about decisions ande up with creative solutions
21. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages and knowledge of Google suite
