The Client - This Public Sector organisation is involved in providing impartial, free and confidential advice regarding employment. The Role - To assist the business in delivering its remit through the provision of administrative support services. The main role of an Administrative Officer (AO) is to provide administrative services in support of operational and business functions. Reporting up to an Executive Officer. Duties will include but will not be limited to: Undertaking such duties as are commensurate with maintaining the integrity of the organisation and securing the provision of the organisation's services; Maintaining and updating records, both manual and computerised; Preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports as required using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); Dealing effectively with telephone, in-person, and electronic requests from both internal and external customers; Assisting with the administration of operational work, workshops and talks; Compiling statistical returns; Processing financial transactions; Providing technical support covering the use of phones, printing equipment, etc.; Assisting with procurement exercises including maintenance of stationery stocks; Providing input into and reports from computerised systems and databases such as the Individual Conciliation Case Management System and Corporate Services systems (such as Finance, Personnel etc.), Access and Visio; Dealing with visitors to Reception, dealing with calls to the organisation's general switchboard and providing a WebChat service to Stakeholders; Carrying out other miscellaneous duties which are deemed appropriate to the grade. The Person As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience: Essential: Candidates with at least 1 year administrative/clerical experience. 5 GCSE Grades A - C or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English Language. Have proficiency in the use of IT system packages in particular the Microsoft Suite.
