Site Manager - Refurbishment & Minor Works (FM)Location: Multiple sites across Greater Manchester (primarily within the M60)Contract: 6-month temporary assignment (ASAP start) with potential to go permanentHours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm (flexibility available)
An FM organisation delivering works across council-owned properties is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a portfolio of small refurbishment and minor construction projects (£70k max). Works include bathroom refurbishments, electrical upgrades and general building works across live public-sector environments such as community centres, museums and children's centres.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple live sites across Greater Manchester
* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring H&S, quality and programme compliance
* Oversee bathroom, electrical and minor building works
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and maintain safety documentation
* Monitor progress, report updates and manage site logistics
* Liaise with building users to minimise disruption in operational environments
Essential Requirements
* SMSTS and 3-Day First Aid
* CSCS Card (Manager level preferred)
* Strong technical background (ideally ex-trades)
* Experience managing multiple small works or refurbishment projects
* Proven public-sector or council buildings experience
* Strong H&S and CDM knowledge
* Confident using IT systems for reporting and communication
Desirable
* FM or maintenance background
* Knowledge of local authority compliance
* Ability to manage several projects with minimal supervision
