Responsibilities:
1. Work collaboratively with product owners, business analysts, technical architects, UX/UI designers, and other team members to understand business requirements and drive the solution design and development of our digital products.
2. Ensure code meets the requirements and is in accordance with our architectural and coding standards and patterns.
3. Optimise applications using best practices for performance.
4. Propose any upgrades and updates necessary for keeping up with modern security and the development of best practices.
5. Contribute to our shared component libraries and build modular and reusable components and libraries.
6. Provide mentorship for more junior members of the team and share knowledge of your skillsets out to the wider team.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Professional work experience involving software development, systems implementation, and the ability to design/architect software solutions.
2. Proficient in C/C++ development and scripting languages, with experience in multi-tier application design and development on a Windows environment.
3. Mandatory prior software development experience with Java.
4. Strong background in building enterprise-wide software solutions in multi-technology environments and understanding of the impact of changes on the environment.
5. Familiarity with database concepts, relational SQL, and NoSQL databases is a plus.
6. Ability to articulate points and provide summaries and explanations of technical concepts.
7. Experience working in financial services is helpful.
8. Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues.
9. Ability to build relationships across the organization and understand internal clients’ needs.
10. Flexibility to work with different programming languages and willingness to learn new technologies.
