To organise and supervise the unit according to Compass Group UK & Ireland standards, contract specifications, and statutory regulations. Responsible for efficient management of the unit, ensuring quality service, and overseeing food preparation, cooking, and service to standards. Manage resources including stock, team members, and assets effectively.

* Understand and deliver all contractual terms
* Communicate client changes to line manager
* Maintain regular communication with the client
* Complete action plans based on client satisfaction surveys
* Promote the unit and act as a Compass Advocate
* Ensure delivery of all client hospitality standards and upsell to increase revenue
* Implement company promotions correctly
* Price products according to standards or client specifications
* Identify additional opportunities and discuss with line manager
* Complete action plans following customer satisfaction surveys
* Maintain adequate stock levels in retail areas
* Deliver customer requirements effectively
* Analyze and manage costs and GP
* Ensure accurate recording and minimization of food wastage
* Communicate customer requirements to departments in advance
* Complete labour schedules within budget and minimize agency and overtime costs
* Adjust labour schedules based on sales
* Manage costs within budgets and ensure targets are met
Who you are:
* Experience working with food and in the conference & banqueting sector
* People management and strong communication skills
* Results and people-oriented
* Accountability and understanding of customer needs
* Teamwork skills
* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
* Computer literacy
* Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
* Basic Food Hygiene certificate
* Leadership skills for managing a small team
* Minimum 3 years catering experience
* Financial acumen
