Job Title: Trainee Sales Executive - Solar

Salary: £26,000 basic + realistic OTE £50,000–£60,000

Location: Wellingborough

What you’ll do

As a Solar PV Sales Consultant, you will manage warm residential solar enquiries from first contact through to close. You will speak with homeowners, understand their needs, recommend the right solar PV solution, prepare tailored proposals and guide them through the decision-making process with clarity and confidence.


This is a consultative renewable energy sales role where technical understanding matters. You will explain how solar works, what a system could generate, what it could save and why the right design makes all the difference. Strong organisation, good follow-up and the ability to build trust quickly will be central to your success.

About you

You will ideally have solar PV experience from sales, installation, roofing, electrical work or another relevant background in the sector. What matters most is that you can speak credibly about solar, build confidence with customers and offer honest, accurate advice.


You should be personable, commercially driven and confident without being pushy. This opportunity will suit someone living close to Wellingborough or within easy reach of Northampton, who wants a long-term career in solar sales with high-quality inbound leads and real earning potential.
