Role Overview
As a Junior Developer, you will help bring to life our flagship digital human products—WebAgent and SocialAgent—that are transforming customer service across Retail, and Hospitality. You will contribute to front-end and back-end development, support integration with AI and LLM APIs, and help ensure legal compliance (e.g., EU AI Act) through technical robustness and traceability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain components for WebAgent and SocialAgent
Collaborate with UX/UI designers, content teams, and senior developers
Integrate APIs (e.g., LLMs, CRM, chatbot frameworks)
Assist in ensuring transparency, logging, and traceability of AI decisions
Contribute to multilingual and accessibility features
Debug and resolve user-reported and internal issues
Write clean, maintainable code with basic documentation
Essential Skills & Knowledge
Strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript
Strong foundation in Three.JS
Experience with either Python, C#, Rust, or WebAssembly
Experience with one or more modern front-end frameworks (React preferred)
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design
Basic backend skills (e.g., Node.js, Express, RESTful APIs)
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of JSON, API integration, and async operations
You must be able to work from our South Liverpool office >3 days per week
Preferred (but not required) Experience
Working with AI APIs (OpenAI, Google Gemini, etc.)
Exposure to chatbot platforms or conversational design
Knowledge of multilingual or accessibility best practices (ARIA, WCAG)
Interest in ethical AI development and/or regulatory standards (e.g., EU AI Act)
Personal projects or portfolio showcasing relevant work
