I am working with a Leading Financial Services Company as they expand their Financial Planning & Analysis capability following recent organisational growth — they’re looking two hire three Senior QRM Developer to play a key role in evolving their financial forecasting and balance sheet modelling.
This is a strategically important, hands‑on technical role where you’ll enhance and develop QRM‑driven forecasting and Interest Rate Risk (IRRBB) modelling across the enlarged Group. QRM is their core financial forecasting and balance sheet modelling tool and your expertise will be central to improving the accuracy, integrity and insightfulness of our planning and risk frameworks.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders in Financial Planning, Stress Testing, Treasury and across finance, product and risk teams — shaping how modelling capability informs commercial decisions, risk management and executive‑level reporting.
What You’ll Do
Model Development & Technical Leadership
* Design and build of enhanced QRM forecasting and IRRBB modelling capabilities.
* Improve existing QRM models for mortgages, retail savings and treasury instruments.
* Develop new modelling approaches for credit cards, commercial/business banking and current accounts.
* Identify outdated modelling logic and redesign for better performance and interpretability.
* Ensure accurate reconciliation to source systems and maintain high data integrity.
* Support transformation programmes, including system upgrades, data feed integration, rebuilds and testing cycles.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Partner with key stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Risk, Products and Transformation.
* Assess, prioritise and deliver on modelling requirements while managing expectations and timelines.
* Communicate technical outputs to non‑technical colleagues, ensuring transparency and understanding.
* Lead workshops, refine data requirements and document modelling approaches for long‑term maintainability.
* Document modelling logic to meet audit, governance and control standards.
* Strengthen QRM control frameworks across planning, ALM and regulatory reporting.
* Prepare and present high‑quality material for GALCO and relevant governance committees.
About You
You’re a structured, analytical problem solver who thrives in technically complex environments. You bring a blend of QRM expertise, financial modelling excellence and a passion for building best‑in‑class systems.
You will be successful in this role if you:
* Have deep experience building or enhancing QRM‑based forecasting or IRRBB models.
* Are confident configuring and developing within QRM, including assumptions, scenarios, behaviourals and system logic.
* Have strong financial services experience — especially in balance sheet modelling, ALM, or interest‑rate risk.
* Are highly skilled in Excel and comfortable working with large, complex datasets.
* Enjoy hands‑on system engagement and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
* Challenge existing approaches constructively and always seek opportunities for improvement.
* Take accountability for output quality, regardless of legacy issues or inherited models.
What You Bring
* Proven experience with QRM or a similar financial risk/ALM modelling system.
* Analytical, numerical and structured mindset with strong business partnering skills.
* Understanding of financial planning, risk modelling and data manipulation at scale.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills to ensure audit‑ready outputs.
