About the Employer
Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water provides safe drinking water to 3 million people and manages wastewater for a cleaner environment. We operate a visitor attraction at Llyn Brenig reservoir, open year‑round, which includes a café, retail area and activity centre.
Good to Know
* Working 5 days a week at our Visitor Centre, which is open 7 days.
* Café hours: 8am–5pm in summer, 9am–3pm in winter.
* Manage your own variable rota with flexible shift patterns; expect weekend and bank holiday shifts.
* Up to 6 evening shifts a year for special events.
* Average 37 hours/week on a 1,924‑hour annualised contract.
* We welcome flexible working requests.
* Driving licence and own transport essential – the site is remote and not covered by public transport.
* An enhanced DBS check required prior to start date.

* Be operationally visible and proactive, supporting the team and carrying out additional duties to meet business needs.

About You
* Demonstrable experience in catering/café operations using fresh locally sourced produce.
* Practical health & safety experience in a retail or café environment.
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements: food hygiene licensing law, premises licence, PMR, PRL, EHO, trading standards.
* Proven track record of managing, developing and maintaining a team to meet customer and business needs.
* Proven track record of growing income across a food and beverage operation.
* Demonstrable experience of food service and production in an establishment to a set standard, exceeding expectations and customer perception.
