Location: Heathrow/London based
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £55,000–£60,000 + benefits
Working Format: Hybrid working – 3 days office/site and 2 days home
Reports to: Construction Manager / Construction Group Leader UK
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our construction team, focusing on large and complex projects at Heathrow. As a Site Manager, you will play a key role in managing construction teams through both baggage and non-baggage work packages.
This role requires strong site management and leadership skills, ensuring your team remains motivated, empowered, and always works to the highest safety and quality standards. You will be part of a supportive management structure, driving project milestones and delivering excellent results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clear leadership and direction to the site team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
* Take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of construction activities on site.
* Support and guide team members to develop their skills and deliver work to a high standard.
* Champion a robust health and safety culture, maintaining a focus on achieving zero LTIs and RIDDORs.
* Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders to keep projects on track and clients satisfied.
* Drive continuous improvement and ensure processes and best practices are followed.
* Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring progress aligns with project schedules and priorities.
* Promote teamwork and accountability within the site team, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
Skills and Experience Required:
* 5+ years’ experience in a site management role on complex construction projects.
* Proven experience in managing site teams and subcontractors, with a track record of delivering work safely and on time.
* Good knowledge of CDM Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
* Strong understanding of construction processes across all phases of the project lifecycle.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
* IT literate, with proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
* SMSTS Trained or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Construction Site Management or equivalent.
* NEBOSH General Certificate or similar.
* CSCS Black Management Card.
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent (desirable).
