The People and Culture team is at the heart of the organisation, ensuring the seamless co-ordination of HR operations, employee relations, well-being initiatives, skills development, payroll management, recruitment strategies and the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion.
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Provide first-line HR administrative support across the colleague lifecycle, including starters, leavers, changes, and probations.
* Manage the full onboarding process for new starters, including issuing contracts, processing DBS checks, and completing right-to-work checks.
* Coordinate volunteer recruitment administration, including DBS checks and maintaining the volunteer database.
* Support recruitment activities by advertising roles, arranging interviews, and managing candidate communications.
* Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with GDPR and safer recruitment policies.
* Act as a key point of contact for HR queries, delivering excellent customer service and guidance on systems and processes.
* Collaborate with HR colleagues, Payroll, IT, and other teams to ensure smooth HR operations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes.
ABOUT YOU
* Experienced in providing administrative support, ideally within HR or a similar environment.
* Confident using HR or in-house systems and able to guide others in their use.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong Excel capabilities.
* Highly organised, accurate, and methodical with excellent attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
* Knowledge of GDPR, confidentiality principles, and safer recruitment processes (desirable).
* Adaptable, approachable, and committed to delivering a high-quality service.
* Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
