This position will require working in a variety of primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities across the Birmingham area. Working as part of the catering team, you will be responsible for preparing well-balanced and appetising meals.
Chef / Cook Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook lunch for the students.
Oversee food production and cooking
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all safety and hygiene regulations.
Order and manage food supplies to ensure the availability of fresh and high-quality ingredients.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Adapt menus to accommodate special dietary needs and allergies.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimise waste.
Ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and report any issues for repair.
Comply with health and safety regulations and food handling standards.Cook Qualifications:
GNVQ / NVQ LEVEL 2/3
