Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at Happy Tots Day Nursery in Barrow-in-Furness. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating nutritious meals that support the health and well-being of our children, contributing to our mission of providing outstanding childcare services.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook healthy meals for children in accordance with dietary requirements.
* Ensure all food safety standards are met and maintained.
* Plan weekly menus that cater to the nutritional needs of children.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
* Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs.
* Assist in training staff on food safety practices.
* Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
* Engage with children during meal times to promote healthy eating habits.
Qualifications * Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a childcare or similar setting.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
* Ability to create nutritious meal plans tailored for children.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
