Overview
As Site Managers for Novus, you’ll see the impact of your work to customers and team each day, taking your job satisfaction to new levels. This varied and challenging role offers the opportunity to work with and manage a skilled professional trade team in a secure environment with long‑term contracts, and to grow and learn.
Utilising site management skills in live social housing environments, you’ll deliver planned internal and external refurbishment works including kitchen and bathroom replacements, painting, roofing, windows, doors, electrical works, and more. You’ll also seek ways to add real social value to communities and customers, supported by peers, team, and management to solve problems and make decisions that grow relationships and revenue. Works typically include a full reroofing program, insulation, fascia, soffits, rainwater goods, and scaffolding delivered with a sub‑contractor model.
While ensuring the smooth running of multiple designated sites, you’ll ensure all site personnel carry out tasks efficiently and effectively to complete contracts on time, with zero defects, within budget, and without risk to health and safety of the operational team, client, or public.

An outline of your responsibilities as a Site Manager
* Manage site teams, work activities and resources to meet contract requirements.
* Manage the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including sub‑contractors).
* Collate all pre‑construction information (packs, asbestos surveys, etc.).
* Ensure all necessary contract documentation/reports are accurate and produced on time in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
* Identify site hazards and ensure risk assessments and control methods are implemented via the construction phase health & safety procedures.
* Ensure all sites comply with legal and statutory requirements, including health, safety and welfare.
* Assist in preparing estimates, bids and tenders in partnership with the Contracts Manager.
* Create, manage and report on projects with multiple live site locations using a master programme.
About You
The successful Site Manager will ideally have strong experience in planned refurbishment works within social housing/tenanted properties, a good working knowledge of internal and external works, and the ability to manage delivery to completion/handover. You should understand complex documentation and be able to collate evidence to tight deadlines, manage several sites simultaneously, and possess commercial awareness to keep costs within budgets. Great communication skills to build relationships with clients and tenants are essential. You must hold a full UK driving licence for daily site travel, SMSTS or associated NVQ, 3‑day First Aid, be confident with IT and proficient in Microsoft Office, and be willing to undergo a DBS check.
