No experience needed, as full training is provided
Base Metal Concentrates Analysis Ltd is a privately owned laboratory that provide independent commercial analysis to customers based around the world.
Working hours - Monday to Friday 12:00 - 20:00 (Evening shift)
Full training is provided to ensure work is processed through the fire assay department using classical fire assay methods, using high levels of precision, accuracy and efficiency, whilst adhering to Health & Safety requirements.
Main Duties:
* Loading and unloading furnaces at high temperatures
* Lifting of samples up to 25kg
* Working with lead in a controlled environment
* Routinely use standard laboratory equipment such as balances
* Processing of daily samples from Fire Assay to the laboratory
* Performing of daily checks on equipment
General H&S Responsibilities:
* Comply with Health & Safety requirements: as per training, policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work etc.
* Report any H&S issues/accidents/near misses to your line manager immediately.
* It is a pre-requisite of this position that you agree to lead/blood test which is required every 3/6/12 months* (as notified).
* You will also be required to shower before the end of each shift in line with H & S requirements.

* Able to use Microsoft applications including, Outlook, Word and Excel
