Site Manager – Cadent Construction Management
Costain Group PLC is the preferred bidder for the East of England Construction Management organisation (CMO) for Cadent.
Overview
Central to Costain’s role will be the strategic planning and programme management of Cadent’s capital investment programme, focusing on delivering improved regulatory performance and future proofing the network for the benefit of Cadent’s customers.
Responsibilities
* Consistently demonstrate, promote and develop high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example.
* Develop and manage programmes ensuring projects are delivered on cost and time, complying with legislative, regulatory and Cadent technical standards.
* Act as competent person for Flow Stopping and Commissioning Operations in line with Cadent Safe Control of Operations, Main Laying and Service Laying Procedures.
* Manage the performance of the supply chain to deliver key contract objectives.
* Act as key advocate for the contract with senior representatives from local authority organisations.
* Manage engineering teams, ensuring highest standards of customer service and safety, providing assurance through audit and inspection.
* Support the Area Manager in identifying areas for improvement, leading on initiatives.
* Maximise staff engagement through team talks, toolbox talks, safety briefings and team briefs.
* Investigate and resolve customer queries, claims and complaints expediently and professionally.
* Undertake or assist with incident reporting, investigations, final reports and remedial actions.
* Undertake temporary works supervisor duties for temporary works operations.
* Carry out standby and call out duties as required.
* Carry out any other reasonable duties appropriate for the role.
Qualifications
* Previous gas supervisory experience (Essential).
* Experience in operations relevant to SCO procedures (Essential).
* Ability to lead a team, influence and drive performance.
* Site management experience.
* High standards of safety and customer behaviour.
* Working knowledge of relevant codes of practice, safety and statutory regulations.
* Experience delivering works in a safe and compliant manner.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Current UK driving licence.
* Analytical and problem solving skills.
* UMSTS / SMSTS.
