We’re hiring a Senior Java Developer (VP level) to join a lean, highly skilled team building the integration and orchestration layer of a greenfield electronic trading platform—a millisecond-latency system at the heart of a major trading infrastructure project. You’ll be part of something directly backed by the executive team, with full freedom to influence architecture, shape performance decisions, and write ultra-efficient code.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Architecting and developing key components of a real-time, low-latency trading system
* Writing high-performance Java code with a strong focus on multi-threading and concurrency
* Being the team’s go-to engineer for technical decisions, design challenges, and code quality
* Collaborating closely in a high-trust team environment across Glasgow and London
What Success Looks Like (First 3 Months)
* Up to speed with the codebase and actively contributing
* Trusted contributor in technical discussions, reviews, and design sessions
* Working independently and demonstrating initiative—no hand-holding needed
Must-Have Technical Skills
* Strong core Java with deep understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and performance tuning
* Proven experience building real-time or millisecond-latency systems
* Confidence in designing scalable, maintainable architecture
Nice-to-Haves
* Experience in trading systems, particularly electronic trading
* Familiarity with building integration/orchestration layers
