Alde Valley Academy (part of Kingfisher Schools Trust) is the fastest growing secondary school in Suffolk due to the high expectations we have of our staff and students. We are situated in Leiston, a small town not far from Saxmundham and Aldeburgh and close to the beautiful Suffolk coast.
As part of our continued development, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Site Manager to take the lead in managing our physical environment and contributing to the long-term operational success of the school. Reporting to the Headteacher and Trust Director of Operations, the Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management, safety, and strategic development of the school’s buildings, grounds, and facilities. This is a key role requiring a balance of operational oversight and strategic planning.
You will be required to work across multiple sites and will be responsible for overseeing the caretaking staff at a local primary school within the trust.
You will:
* be a proactive, organised, and experienced individual with strong leadership and project management skills
* be able to balance day-to-day operational demands with long-term planning
* have a keen eye for detail and improvement
* have strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and building compliance
* have budget and contract management experience
* have excellent communication and leadership skills
* have the ability to respond calmly to emergencies and work flexibly as needed.
