Cherry Road Centre requires someone to join our team in the role of Cook to work in a small commercial kitchen with 2 staff providing nutritious meals for the centre. The successful applicant will have to be flexible as working days may need to be adjusted to meet service needs. An understanding of the management of commercial kitchens is essential as well as experiences in meeting the needs of people with special dietary requirements and appropriate food preparation for these meals.
You will need to have experience working in settings supporting adults with Learning Disabilities as the role involves in engagement with staff and the people with learning disabilities and our kitchen staff are an important part of our team.
Post holders must have experience of food production within a catering unit and a sound knowledge of health and safety practices within a kitchen environment. Communication skills are essential, as interaction with staff and clients is a key aspect of this post.

Based on 18 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £13,459.31 per annum.
