This is a truly hands-on role where no two days are the same. From supporting managers with day to day operational needs, shaping recruitment priorities, and assisting with TUPE processes, you’ll play a key role in delivering practical HR solutions across the business.
We’re seeking an experienced HR Officer / HR Advisor to be the main HR contact for our Birdcare Division, while also supporting wider HR activities across the Group.
The Role:
* First point of contact for HR queries, providing advice and guidance to managers and employees.
* Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, and performance matters.
* Lead recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience for candidates and employees.
* Support TUPE transfers, restructures, and consultation processes.
* Monitor absence and turnover, analyse HR data, and recommend practical solutions.
* Ensure compliance with legislation and audits.
* Build trusted relationships with managers and employees across sites.
The Person:
* 2–3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in manufacturing, logistics, or operational environments.
* CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) preferred.
* Strong knowledge of UK & NI employment law.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Organised, resilient, and able to prioritise effectively.
* Confident using MS Office and HR systems.
* Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally to other sites.
