Construction Quality Manager – Newlon Housing Trust – Hale Village, London, N17
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £55,000 per annum plus eligibility to earn up to 5% performance-related bonus
Responsibilities
* Lead quality control of remediation works by conducting on‑sight inspections, identifying non‑compliance and building defects, and addressing issues with relevant parties to maintain highest standards.
* Scrutinise drawings and specifications, audit for errors and omissions, ensuring design issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
* Collaborate with Project Managers to develop low maintenance, cost‑effective designs with future maintenance and service charge costs in mind.
* Inspect projects effectively, ensuring compliance with current building practice and regulations, including emerging requirements on fire and structural safety of residential buildings.
* Manage defects stage requirements, understanding constraints and pressures of housing development, especially at handover.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Quality Manager, Site Inspector, Clerk of Works or in a defects‑based role, preferably within the housing sector.
* Experience auditing information, snagging, and the handover process.
* Solid knowledge of current building practice, regulations, and emerging safety requirements.
