Water Quality Manager (Regulations) – Midlands / East (Multi-site) I’m working with a major infrastructure organisation looking to bring in a senior hire to take ownership of water quality and regulatory compliance across multiple regions. This is a key leadership role sitting across the full water supply chain — from source and treatment through to distribution — ensuring safe, compliant drinking water and maintaining customer confidence at all times. You’ll be leading a specialist team, working closely with production and network operations, and acting as the go-to for water quality across the business. Key focus areas: Owning water quality performance across the clean water network (source to tap) Leading monitoring strategies, sampling programmes, and regulatory compliance Managing and responding to water quality incidents, ensuring effective resolution Working closely with treatment works, distribution, and network teams Driving continuous improvement across hygiene, compliance, and operational practices Acting as a key contact for regulators and industry stakeholders Ideal background: Strong experience across water supply / clean water / potable water environments In-depth understanding of UK water regulations and DWI expectations Experience working closely with treatment processes, networks, and operational teams Leadership experience within a regulated utility or infrastructure setting Comfortable making decisions in high-pressure or incident-led scenarios This is a role with real impact — protecting public health, influencing operational standards, and shaping how water quality is delivered across a large-scale network.
