Role Overview
We are seeking to appoint a committed and dynamic Learning Mentor with relevant qualifications and proven experience of working with young people, particularly those facing emotional, behavioural, pastoral or safeguarding challenges. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning such as attendance issues, behaviour, family circumstances and social or emotional difficulties, enabling them to achieve their full potential and engage fully in school life.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with identified students through one-to-one mentoring and small group interventions.
* Develop tailored action plans and promote self-esteem, resilience and positive behaviour.
* Quickly identify pupils at risk of disengagement, build strong, supportive relationships.
* Liaise effectively with staff, parents and external agencies.
Qualifications and Skills
* Relevant qualifications and proven experience working with young people.
* Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
* Strong commitment to safeguarding and genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people.
* Ability to navigate safeguarding procedures and contribute to well‑being initiatives.
