Source BioScience, comprising Source LDPath and Source Genomics, delivers cutting-edge laboratory services in Genomics, Multi-omics and Histopathology. Source Genomics provides a comprehensive suite of multi-omic services, including Sanger Sequencing, Next-Generation Sequencing, and Bioinformatics. Headquartered in Nottingham, Source BioScience has two additional prominent laboratories, one in Cambridge (the home of Source Genomics) and one in Chichester.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Sales Executive specialising in Genomics and Multi-omics. The role is based in Cambridge, although the majority of the role can be done remotely with occasional travel to Cambridge and client sites when required. Responsibilities include identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, achieving sales targets, and promoting Source BioScience’s genomics and multi-omic services for R&D and clinical research. The Sales Executive will collaborate with internal teams, provide tailored solutions to clients, and represent the company during industry events and meetings.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of Genomics and Multi-omics - a background in life science is a must
* A background in Sales in not stricly necessary yet preferred, it is more important the candidate is highly driven to grow a commercial career
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
* Technical understanding of laboratory workflows is advantageous
* Self-motivated, with strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities
* Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend events
* Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field (advanced degrees are beneficial)
* Prior experience in sales within the scientific or healthcare sectors is preferred, yet not stricly necessary - the right candidate with the drive to develop commercially with a solid understanding of sequencing techniques would be ideal, or someone with existing experience in selling to a scientific audience
Salary dependent on experience plus commission.
