Hi! We are Richard & Rob, founders of Kanda - we’ve built the UK’s market-leading platform for homeowners to spread payments on their home improvements (through local trades).
We were part of Y Combinator and raised our seed round from several US funds, plus incredible founders like James Park (Fitbit), Henry De Zoete (Look After My Bills), and Kenny Stone (PlanGrid).
Now we’re looking for another Sales Executive to support Kanda’s continued growth.
The highlights:
* Base of £24k-£28k/yr (based on experience) + commission. Realistic OTE of £48K/yr
* First week in-person, then a fully remote role (sales team meet-ups once per month plus occasional pre-planned company-wide events).
The details:
You'll be part of a growing sales team that works alongside the Founders & engineers to grow our user base - here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Sales calls will be 100% of your bread and butter. Mainly inbound leads being booked into your diary or new sign up’s expecting call backs. That said, you will be ready & willing to do outbound 'warm' lead prospecting too.
* Manage your sales pipeline, including diary & task management to make sure potential users get followed up with at the right time
* You'll follow our playbook but have freedom to iterate and change it to improve conversion rate, but you need to be data driven in your decisions
* Managing various sales systems including our CRM, AI driven apps, calling/messaging software, our own internal tools, etc
* We're a start-up; you'll end up doing things here vastly different to how you do them now
* You need an attitude which sees you default to action, not planning.
💡 This role is a sales heavy/phone call heavy role. You will be working remotely and expected to make between 50-70 calls a day, as well as nurturing leads and manage various systems. You’ll be part of a team that’s driven to improve & scale our sales function.

* Comfortably talk to clients on the phone vs via email - our audience is always on the move
* Execute under pressure and not be overwhelmed by a full diary of calls
* You’re proactive and will find impactful work to do on ‘slow days’ - no stragglers here
* You're intuitive and can decipher what customers are 'really asking for' when they raise concerns
* You're highly organised; this is a busy role and you'll need to be able to work diligently

Nice to have:
* Experience working in construction/home improvements & payments sectors
* Experience working in a start-up previously, have a good grasp of software
