We are looking for a new Head of People and Culture to join our team.
Our current Head of People and Culture is leaving us after 20 years at the Company. We are looking for the right person to join our family business to continue to build our people strategy.
If you have proven HR experience, are passionate about people and have a desire to support improvement then we would love to hear from you. You will lead a small People Team supporting the business to grow and develop. Helping the business to fulfil its purpose of “nourishing people and communities for generations to come” and assist in maintaining our B Corp accreditation. Whilst being a strategic role, you will also need to be really hands on.
Location: Hatters Lane, Chipping Sodbury, BS37 6AA
Hours: Ideally 30–37.5 hours per week, though flexibility is available.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement people strategies that support organizational goals, acting as a key advisor to the Senior Management team.
· Culture & Engagement: Champion a positive, inclusive culture, leading JEDI initiatives, improving employee experience, and fostering belonging.
· Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention, career pathing, succession planning and leadership development.
· Performance Management: Design and implement systems to drive high performance, goal setting, and continuous feedback.
· Employee Relations & Wellbeing: Manage complex employee issues, conflict resolution, absence and promote overall staff wellbeing.
· HR Operations & Compliance: Ensure effective HR systems, policies, and compliance with employment law.
· Change Management: Guide the organisation through change, adapting structures and strategies to new ways of working.

Experience:
· Proven experience in a Head of People/ HR Manager/ People Manager/ or similar role
· Worked on and being awarded a people-focused accreditation, ideally B Corp or Investors in People.
· Worked and had evidence of improving workplace culture.
· Worked and delivered JEDI policies into the workplace.
