An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Manager to join our Saint Gobain Interior Solutions contract responsible for a number of sites nationally. You will spend the 60 of your time based at our three sites within the East Midlands region with the remaining time split across the others, in total supporting ten sites across the UK.
The HR Manager will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a consistent framework for all people:related activity across the contract. Supporting the Operational General Manager
this a high:profile role and is highly customer facing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the site management teams in order to integrate HR and Payroll practices, embed our values and commitments, drive the engagement agenda, champion and manage people related change / organisation design as well as shape and implement a joined up overall people plan for the contract and sites in line with the operational agenda.

What you'll do on a typical day:

Ensuring that the HR Advisors and Payroll Admin team provide an effective and efficient consultancy and advisory service to all managers
:
Drive the People agenda for all sites including but not exhaustive D and I, Wellbeing, Talent and Engagement
:
Ensuring company standards and policies are implemented on a consistent basis
Pro:actively develop the line management capability through formal training, coaching and guidance on all people management and leadership related activities
:
Ensuring processes are in place to recruit and retain the best talent at all levels
:
Gathering and analysing monthly management information such as labour turnover, headcount and absence statistics and using it to provide insight and support key business decisions across area of responsibility
:
Ensuring harmonious employee relations with any respective Trade Union representatives
to ensure optimum working efficiency across the sites of responsibility
:
Supporting the appraisal process and providing advice and guidance to senior line management in the production of individual development plans
:
Influencing the key stakeholders on a high performance and recognition culture
:
Actively coordinating all talent management and succession planning processes across the sites of responsibility in particular the identification and development of high potential colleagues at every level in the organisation
:
Encouraging and recommending site communication and engagement strategies
:
Supporting the L and D Strategy for the business and provide advice and guidance on all training
related matters
:
Supporting the delivery of on:site training programmes to meet identified training needs

What you need to succeed at XPO:
:
Strong experience of HR policy and practice, particularly around disciplinary, grievance, redundancies, and TUPE situations
:
Excellent communication and presentation skills : able to build relationships quickly, engage and influencekey stakeholders
:
Experience gained in a large multi :site environment, preferably with exposure to the end client
:
Experience of trade union negotiations (local and National) and employment law knowledge
:
Demonstrable change management and cultural development experience in a similar HR advisory and/or management role
:
Influencing skills and strong Stakeholder Management
:
Be a self:starter, able to work on own initiative and be a team player
:
CIPD qualified
:
Experience working in FMCG/Logistics/Retail environment (desirable)
