Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Nurse (either RMN or RGN) to work within the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service in Nairn and also the wider Drug and Alcohol Service in Highland. You will work within the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service but have close links with colleagues within the Community Mental Health Teams and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
* Carry out assessments and develop and implement treatment plans for clients within the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service.
* Offer interventions, harm reduction advice and deliver safe, effective care to a diverse client population.
* Provide supervision and support to junior staff within the team.
* Work as part of the wider multidisciplinary team and as an autonomous practitioner.
* Collaborate with the Community Mental Health Teams and other colleagues in the MDT.
Qualifications and requirements
* Qualified and registered RMN or RGN.
* Preferably a non-medical prescriber, or willing to undertake this training on appointment.
* Significant post‑registration experience with relevant Drug and Alcohol sector experience.
* A full current driving licence and use of a car for work purposes is essential.
