Sales Executive Salary £40,000 pa - £60,000 pa Bonus Sell Food Processing Machinery Location: London (M25 region, Home Counties, with occasional UK-wide travel) Well established and respected supplier of systems and machinery to customers within the ambient food, chilled food and meats industry are seeking a driven and commercially adept Sales Executive to join the team. Specialising in the sale of machinery to food processors this role is primarily focused on existing and new customers within the M25 corridor, and Home Counties, with opportunities to develop business further afield across the UK. You will be responsible for managing the full sales cyclefrom identifying and developing new business opportunities through to closing deals and maintaining strong client relationships. The Role Develop and manage a pipeline of new and existing customers within the food processing sector, including food manufacturers and some food retailers. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities. Conduct client visits, product demonstrations, and promote the business using a consultative sales approach. Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry to successful order completion, meeting expected profit margins. Build strong, long-term relationships with customers, demonstrating gravitas and being viewed as an expert in your field. Prepare and deliver professional quotations and proposals both individually and as part of a wider team. Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to achieve profitable outcomes for the business. Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and delivery. Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline and take an active part in sales meetings. The Person Proven sales experience, ideally within capital equipment or medium/high-value machinery or some other Business to Business (B2B) sales role. Experience selling into industrial, manufacturing, Laboratory, or production environments is highly desirable. Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle and close deals. Excellent communication, outgoing, confident, and personable. Tenacious, self-motivated, with an eye for an opportunity. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to build rapport quickly and develop lasting customer relationships. Gregarious and confident in face-to-face client interactions. Professional and credible when dealing with business customers. Strong team player with the ability to work independently. Full UK driving licence (essential).
