A day in the life of a Murphy Quality Manager
* Establishing and implementing a quality strategy for the Framework (aligned to our Murphy Integrated Management System)
* Proactively driving the effective deployment of the Quality Management System including integration of best practice and innovative approaches for continual improvement
* Ensuring suitable mechanisms are established and deployed to progressively check and assure compliance; actively participating in checking activities (relevant to your technical competence)
* Supporting the achievement of ‘Fit to Finish’ (handover / completion) working collaboratively with others to enable effective close out of projects.
* Conducting regular inspections of sites and workplaces to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures, and other stated requirements.
* Maintaining responsibility for the audit programme of the Framework and supporting attainment of third-party certification
* Establishing and deploying mechanisms to track / monitor / report quality management performance and identify improvement focus areas
* Championing quality improvement activities such as application of quality improvement tools, facilitating workshops, and investigation of quality incidents
* Championing and supporting activities including training / coaching / mentoring to instil the knowledge, skills, and mind sets to positively influence behaviours and embed a world-class quality culture

* Demonstrable site-based experience within civil engineering or construction is essential
* Experience within water industry would be beneficial
* Relevant Quality Membership (MCQI) is desirable
* Internal or Lead Auditor qualifiedSolid understanding of the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard
