Job Title: Sales Developer NI
Reports To: National Account Manager Convenience
Location: Northern Ireland


Role Overview

As a Sales Developer NI, you will grow route sales revenue by developing business with existing customers, capturing new business opportunities, and delivering excellent customer service within a defined territory. The Sales Developer NI will be responsible for promoting products, driving sales, and ensuring in-store visibility across the assigned area.


Main Responsibilities

Sales and Merchandising:

* Promote, sell, and merchandise products from van stock, transfer orders, or central warehouse to new and existing customers.

* Merchandise off-sale SKUs upon arrival in store using available storerooms or van stock.

* Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets, including revenue growth, distribution, and planogram compliance.

* Ensure in-store availability of new listings and NPD in all accounts.

* Identify new account opportunities and proactively cold call target accounts to generate new business.

* Replenish display stands, ensuring correct merchandising according to planograms.

* Build displays, activate promotions, negotiate stand/rack positioning, and ensure products are scanned and priced.

* Proactively suggest re-orders for out-of-stock or low-stock items.

* Maximise sales during promotional periods.

Route Planning and Administration:

* Maintain an up-to-date route plan reflecting current and potential customers.

* Adhere to journey plans and target strike rates for all accounts within the defined territory.

* Transmit orders and information via handheld devices to head office daily.

* Conduct regular stock takes and collect or order stock from the depot as required.

* Collect cash from COD accounts and ensure timely payment.

Working Hours and Flexibility:

* Flexible hours contract; core working hours start with arrival at the first customer call (typically 8:009:00 am) and end no earlier than the final call of the day (typically 3:454:45 pm).

* Core working hours include 30 minutes for lunch and do not include travel to and from the first and last calls.

* Must be available and contactable by phone between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.

Other Duties:

* Perform any additional duties as required to support business needs.
