Contract: Fixed Term (until July 2026)
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Salary: £22,994 to £24,162 per annum
The Role
Our client, a Birmingham based College, are seeking a Human Resources Administrator to join on a fixed-term contract until July 2026.
The college is home to thousands of enthusiastic students and talented staff, across several campuses in Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy team, during a period of system change and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first-line HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle (from onboarding onwards).
* Manage the HR inbox and respond to routine queries.
* Prepare HR documentation, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
* Support the transition from Dintra to iTrent HR system, including data cleansing and preparation.
* Assist with day-to-day HR processes while permanent staff focus on project work.
* Support with recruitment administration, contracts, and pre-employment checks.
* General office administration and coordination to support the wider HR function.
About You
* Previous experience working in an HR administrative role is essential.
* Strong IT and database skills (iTrent experience highly desirable).
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Highly organised, proactive, and able to work as part of a team.
* Experience in education is not required, though background in HR or administrative support within busy environments (e.g. hospitality, customer service, public sector) is welcomed.
Working Arrangements
* Initially expected to be on-site for training and induction.
* Hybrid working available once fully trained and confident in the role (typically 2–3 days per week on-site).
